Good to know that the alternator will keep up easily on this setup. :)
Yes, we will probably end up using two laptops with big screens, say 40-50w each, a tablet, two cell phones and a 12v fan. May be a 12v LED light. All plugged in being charged at all times. A 200w inverter is probably more than enough, but we may use this for up to 6 or 7 hours AFTER the sun is set and the truck staying at the same spot. We plan to do lots of hiking during the day so solar charging and working at the same time is not going to be a typical scenario.
Given this, I may need a 250w panel or larger if I choose to go that path. But where do I mount it? Mounting it on the roof may look real odd... May be a thin flexible panel on the roof? But those are less efficient, I believe.
