Presumably the units contained the proper charging circuitry to allow them to be charged from the vehicle's alternator.
Question: If you can't get a cell signal from inside the travel trailer, what makes you think you can get one from the truck cab?
Comment: I hope you are both short, or your truck is a megacab dodge, because working in the back seat of a typical crew cab truck will be frustrating to say the least.
We are willing to drive away a fair bit of distance from the trailer - that's not a problem. Even if we have to drive miles away, its worth it since I will be working while traveling.
And we are indeed both short - I'm 5'6", my DW is only 5'3". Front seats will be set way forward so the back seats will have huge space. Most mid size sedans have insane amount of knee room when I drive... LOL.
