Adventure Eagle Cap owners

Hello All,

When we came across the truck and camper we have now in February, we had never heard of Eagle Cap campers. We purchased the truck and camper together. Truck is a 2013 Ram 3500 crew cab 4x4 dually diesel and the camper is a 2016 Eagle Cap 960.

Please post what you have. Your truck setup and what have you changed. Pros/Cons and any links to the posts you have made.

Truck has:
dual line firestone airbags
Super truss 30k hitch
42" Super truss extension
not installed yet bottom stable loads
6.7 diesel
Aisin transmission
3:42 gears
17 inch tires stock

Camper

What we like:
Coleman 13.5k low profile A/C
larger bathroom
nice layout of kitchen and storage in kitchen.
floor plan
bed area
uses 20 pound propane bottles

What we do not like:
setting area in dinette is small
area that the dinette makes into a bed is short
would like to see a little larger gray water storage
although we like the bed area would like to see a queen bed used instead of the king and storage added in that space next to the bed.

Appreciate you time.
  • I have owned a 2014 adventurer 910 Dry bath for 2 years now and has the king bed. We liked at first but was harder to make the bed being pushed against both walls. Bought a new 8 inch queen memory foam bed and now has some side storage on each side and much easier to make the bed. This model has a more U shape designed dinette that seats at least 6 people. The gray tank has a 32 gallon capacity which is good compared to most TCs. Black tank is 32 gallon also. We have been pleased with adventurer quality so far and this is my second one.

Since I own a Dually only mod I installed were upper stable loads. The camper weighs slightly over 4,000 dry and 4500 wet.

No upgrades to the truck other than airbags. 2 years later and no complaints. We looked at both the dry bath and wet, and opted for the more open floorplan of the wet bath. sadly they no longer sell that floor plan.
  • cool, you can thank atric fox for that one, sorry about the link I wasn't trying to hijack your post.
