Unless you are rich, don't buy a new RV of any kind. Here's why: Almost all RV'ers that have been doing it for many years have changed types or at least brands/models several times. It's a process most of us go through as we learn. Depreciation is huge on new units. Buy used and see how you like it.
The best advice I have ever read on RVing is first determine what kind of RV'er are you. Do you like luxury resorts, state parks, boondocking, exploring off the beaten path? Once you know what type of RV'er you are, then and only then can you choose the right RV to suit your type of RV'ing. Don't buy a big A class and then decide you want to go "off road" to that favourite fishing lake 6 miles over a rough road. The opposite would be a 4X4 with a camper that sits in a luxury resort for weeks or months at a time and no real comfort compared to a larger RV. Best of luck.
