I called the park today and they still have Premium sites available. I'm kind of a nerd and put both into a spreadsheet. The difference in gas is about $500 and I added in an additional $500 for groceries. We did put the dining plan (1 quick serve and 1 table serve per day) in place and the exact cost difference is around $1500 cheaper to stay at FW. This is in comparison to the cheapest Disney resort which is the river walk.
The thing is, is that we have a beautiful camper that has all the extra's and I feel that having all of our personal items; including our dogs; would make for a great trip. The bed in our camper is very comfy and our 3 kids have their own bed. I just HATE hotels because you can't just hang out in a hotel like you can at a campsite.
