Truckcampermagazine.com has lots of good info, too.
LOVE truckcampermagazine.com. It's my new favorite place!
TC Magazine over all does a good job and they do have some very good info and articles. Just keep in mind that TC Magazine only features manufacturers who financially support their magazine. There are other manufacturers of TCs out there that you will not read about on TCM, so do your homework.
When I first started reading TCM I thought the same thing; “Why are they not more objective about their reporting?” But when I confronted Angela and Gordon with the same concern I learned more about how they do conduct their research and reporting. First, lets just say what a reward it is to have a team that live and work in the product that they report exclusively on and a benefit to have a way to earn a living too. What I learned is; that they report on the campers that they personally feel comfortable endorsing. They have turned down manufacturers that have offered Ad Revenue due to the issues that they have with their products. While I wish that they could be more like Consumer Reports, they at least stand behind the product and items that they do report on.
As for the OP, I agree with Bedlam and skipro3 in that one should check out the manufacturers close to them. There certainly in a prime location to see a number of manufacturers and dealers that have different models. Also you might make plans on showing up at the Truck Camper Rally coming up in Colorado Springs in July. No need to be there in a TC, but show up with what you have or book a hotel room nearby and show up and wander around and talk to those at the rally. You will find the TC crowd a happy and friendly group willing to share all the good things about their campers, including the warts. Also, check out the different RV shows around the area and country. You just missed the one in Denver. But it might be worth your time to take a road trip to attend one.
Also, watch the names appearing here in this post and others, lots of good experience here and a willingness to share about their present and past TC. Also look at the signatures and see what campers that they do have and send them a note with specific questions, as this will keep it relevant to your needs and remain open minded.
By all means, welcome to the Truck Camper Forum and no matter what social group you choose to align yourself with, you will be welcome here. I only hope you enjoy whatever decision you determine what best fits your needs.

Shoot, if I were the TCM peeps, I'd do the same thing I'm sure. I mean, they have to pay the bills, right? And it's good that they stand behind what they report on. I do love reading all the stories. I'll be sad when I'm all caught up!
Yeah, I was bummed we just missed the Denver show.
It's great that everyone here is so willing to share their info. That's very helpful! Thanks for your input!
