We also went to a TC from a MH. Bought a used one to see if it would work for us. Wish we did the switch sooner, but with kids DW wouldn't have it. I had too deal with some medical issues and maintenance was the deciding factor. For that reason I went with a N.L. After six different units it's the easiest I've had to maintain. Less time on a roof or ladder the better, partly because I don't like giving somebody else my $$, and I'm to picky. Be patient and good luck.
It's funny, I never thought I would like a TC. But when we were camping with our monstrosity, a couple pulled in down the road from us and we started chatting with them (you know, like you do). They were an older couple back on this dirt road in the Wyoming mountains (it was interesting getting our 5th wheel in there!) and they said they go all over the US in their TC. I've always remembered that (not that it was that long ago, but...). I'm looking forward to easier maintenance...and less to clean!
