Years ago I had a Chevy 1/2 ton with coil springs and put a TC on it..I was not happy with the ride/sway so at that time they had coil spacers you put into your existing springs to take out the bounce and sway..So I put a fw of those in by wrench and still wasn't happy..
I finally added coil helper springs that mount on the axle tubing and that helped alot,so much I used them on several other rigs as the only mod for a TC...The modern version is like Sumo springs or Timbrens I guess..
Coil springs are a bad choice to haul a TC regardless if there put in the right spot..
