Def and nox catalysts absorb much of the noise. Not sure about ford, but RAM doesn't even have a muffler and I recall Ford being the same. So any and all nose absorption and exhaust restriction is via the nox and dpf. Nothing to gain but aesthetics with dpf back pipe.
