I would really like to convert it to propane, but I'm afraid the small difference in power between gasoline and propane would be just enough to cause it not to work.
I've previously mentioned that when I replaced the stock bi-metal thermostat in our camper with a digital version I also added a fan switch to the thermo so I could run the fan on either LOW or HIGH speed. When I added that switch I chose one with a CENTRE OFF position so when powering the A/C with my EU2000i I could start the A/C with the fan off, meaning the only initial load on the genset would be the A/C compressor ... once the compressor ramped up to speed I'd then switch the fan motor on. If you're considering converting your genset to propane you might want to consider this thermo mod as your genset will need all the help it can get in dealing with that initial load if it's running on propane rather than gas.
