This is just an opinion based on what I have done!
If anyone wants to run there air conditioner "reliably" they need to buy the appropriate generator.I personally have had a Yamaha 4000 ES not run a 13.5 air conditioner in 95 degree heat.It would not take the surge from the Coleman Mach air conditioner.The Honda 3k does..
The 2k Honda I have is a good gen set but it sure isn't the Honda 3k in noise or power.The Honda 3K is quieter by far under load and it runs longer.
I also have a Generac 4000XL that surges to 5K I think but even it won't run my Dewalt air compressor.
Better to have to much generator than not enough!
