That is not a very good question to ask in this forum since most seem to be anti-modification yet some how they act as experts on the matter.  Even worse are those that apply gasoline engine physics to diesel engine physics.  Then there is the fact that most benefits of an intake are not noticed on a stock tune.
Intakes do more than just gain hp with a diesel. One of the major benefits is also lowering EGT's which need to be kept in check when driving a tuned diesel. Intakes can also increase efficiency of a diesel engine, depending on how restrictive the factory set up is, by allowing the air to flow easier.
In the case of the current Ram's, there is a huge restriction in the intake piping in the form of a baffle(see pic below) to silence the turbo noise. It is in the pipe between the intake box and turbo. Fortunately it can be easily removed.

If you do end up getting and intake, I recommend the AFE Momentum with the Pro-Guard 7 filter. I bought it early on so it is somewhat paying for itself since I am not buying air filters, but the biggest benefit was keeping my EGTs in check a little better than the stock box.
