C Now I'm curios about the GM 6.0. They just mentioned the 5.3 and 6.2 only as a refresh.
The 6.2 has been around for awhile but is not used in the HD because its not considered a heavy duty engine. (aluminum block)
Just my thoughts, but I expect the 6.0 to be around awhile longer. The HD market is about businesses, and they look for dependability more than cutting edge tech and fuel economy. I have heard rumours of a reworked 7.0 with a cast iron block, and a redesigned 7.4 on some of the chevy forums, but all just rumours.
Usually the major GM HD redesigns lag behind the 1500 like in 07 when they had the 2500 classic and the 2500HD. You very well could see the 2019 2500HD with the current body style with some minor changes, or a 2019 and a half which would not even hit the dealers until mid way through 2019.
