Oh yes....noise is certainly an issue. I had some really cheap mud tires a few years ago and the hummmm was unbearable.
Can anyone comment on the noise level of the AT/3 or other A/T tires???
I had the Cooper AT/3 on my previous vehicle. Mind you, I traded it off last September, so only had them on the vehicle from about April last year until the September trade.
The vehicle was a 2011 Ford F 350 dually crew cab, spending most of the time hauling a 4,500 pound truck camper around the United States.
The Cooper's wore extremely well, considering the load they normally carried.
The truck came with General Grabber HTS tires when new. Once I started carrying the truck camper, wow, did these wear down fast!
The Coopers I would guess would really have lasted a long time. I can only guess how many loaded miles I put on, suppose over 6,000. But they still looked new. Mind you, the General tires probably hauled a similar distance, but gosh they wore a lot faster.
Now noise wise, there was a little more when compared to the highway tread General Grabber HTS's that came with the truck. But nothing major, and after getting used to the change, I really never noticed it anymore.
I'd surely go with Cooper tires again whenever I change on my current vehicle.
