- Kayteg1Explorer IIThey plan to sleep in tents.
Considering that they have to carry fuel for a month of driving and plan to bring ALL the waste back, I have pretty good guess what the big box will be used for. - DWeikertExplorer IINot so sure this is going to the the hybrid vehicle marketing ploy they're hoping for. I doubt they'll get a lot of regenerative charge from braking or down hill coasting. There looks to be a lot of drag in that drive train and I suspect most of the trip will just be plodding along at 10 mph.
That said, I wish I had the need for one. - gboppExplorerNeat but, the tracks look like a complex maintenance issue.

- BedlamModeratorLike any specialty tire or wheel you may be using, you should carry a spare if you need redundancy/backup. When I shop tires, I make sure it is a common size that is readily available from multiple sources so I can avoid something like this. If I had chosen to use a 445/65R19.5 tire and matching rim, I would have just as much trouble getting a field replacement as one of those tracks.
