The bragging about how much money you saved over those fools that bought the Honda2K sure comes to a quick stop when the genset goes TU on you right when you really need it.

Typical Amazon - variable pricing - my Prime says $549 this morning. If you find a great price you have to jump quick because it may be gone an hour later.

It's not even variable pricing. Deal of the day takes to a whole different level like any other flash sale. Fwiw, I saw the post early enough that I could have bought it, but unfortunately, it wasn't going to work for me.

How is a genuine Yamaha engine a "cheap knock-off?"

That was my intent, to share it in case someone was holding off for a sale. It is kind of misleading to call it "deal of the day", implies it is on sale all day.

Sorry for any confusion or frustration.

Guys, I was in Sams Club yesterday and they sell the Honda for only about 200 bucks more.

$200 more than what? And was it the 1000 or 2000 watt model?

EU200i model. Normally 999.00. Was on sale for 750. I was surprised. If I needed it, I would have grabbed it, but I've got the Onan built in.
