bka0721,
If Whazoo is the court jester and jefe4x4 is Mad Max of the TC world, you are the wise man who has so many experiences full timing in your "monstrous truck camper".( first saw your rig in person, Furnace Creek 2012?)
So many of us run madly past the beauty of nature always looking around the next corner for adventure not appreciating the wonders at our feet which often are the flowers. Thanks for bringing to our attention some of the small wonders that brighten up our natural world.
Next time in the desert or anywhere, I will try and appreciate a little more the miracle of plant life.
I was told a number of times what these flowers are but I keep forgetting the names of them. Any clues?
We had hiked up fairly high up in the northern Rockies in Kakwa PP about an hour from these mountains when stumbling on these beauties.
Dave
The plant is fairly common and Whazoo has stated this is one of his favorite mountain flowers.
Keep exploring as you and your wife do, I am a big fan of yours!
See some of my photos below of this flower, commonly called; Forget-me Not.
