- ScottGNomad/\ Actually the Anderson levelers work much better than a simple wedge. Check them out on you tube. The contour of both wedges work together to allow for more secure chalking (basically locking the wheel in place by working together) and they're wider as well. It's also easier to get up on them because they roll with the tire. Much easier than just pulling up on 2X's or a wedge.
I have a set and they work great for our TT. - billtexExplorer III use something similar...but free...;
Note that the Anderson's are only 6" wd...not enough to support a truck tire tread.
FYI; that is a 2" x 12"wd x 18" lg that I mitered. (kind of hard to tell in the pic).
I like the idea of the Anderson but it is too narrow to support a truck tire...my system works pretty much the same; drive up until you are level and then place a chock (look closely you'll see a black rubber chock) behind the tire.
Using a 2" x 12" also give me 6" of lift (Anderson = 4" of lift). The picture actually show our Airstream tire and only using a minimal amount of lift.
We have used this system for many years. (Have since painted the block "silver" to match the AS, but we use the same block with the TC).
