So is your pin box at it's lowest setting? Is the trailer level when hooked up? Chris

A pic would be helpful. Do you use the bags to keep the truck "LEVEL" or in the stock stance? If the later I would highly recommend setting the bags where the truck rides level.

With 16k+ trailer his pin weight should be around 3200 and the truck should ride well. I am wondering why it needs air bags. A different hitch is not going to be that much different. Need more info. Is it riding level now? What is your bed clearance now? What is your pin weight with toys in the garage? Chris

Wondering about the airbags also. I see a lot of people with their TV AZZ end high and RV nose high with bags.

I have a 14 Ram DRW and needs air bags to sit where I want it. With my 3100 pin weight trailer hooked up it will drop 3.5 inches. Squeaks like crazy riding on the overloads. Great ride with 55psi in the bags.

Here is a pic with about 5,900# pushing down on the truck. I have the auto rear air ride. This is where RAM designed these trucks to ride and handle the best.

My 11 RAM in the second pic has at least 5K pin with air bags set at 30psi with the load on. I would say it is fine to a bit low.

Interesting note on the squeaks. Never a noise out of either truck.

I posted from tapatalk on my phone and apparently it didn't make it ... the Andersen Ultimate is adjustable, both in height and fore and aft position in the bed, in a loose sense of the word.

The ball shaft has 3 holes to adjust the height of the ball - from bed to top of ball can be 16", 17" or 18".

The Andersen hitch can be mounted front forward or front to the rear, which positions the hitch ball either 5 1/2" ahead of the gooseneck ball, or 5 1/2" behind it.

The kingpin to ball block can be mounted forward or reverse, which positions the ball 4 1/2" ahead of the kingpin, or 4 1/2" behind it.

That must be one awfully heavy 5th wheel to be putting 5900 pounds in your truck!! How do those 2 axles handle it?

Dang cummins, I can't tell those trucks apart.

Actually they are not axles. It has the MorRyde IS suspension. A little over 8K but well under tire capacity.
