What the temp is at noon the following day has NOTHING to do with water freezing during the night where the temps DROP to freezing. What school did you all go to?! :B
Here think about this,
Put ice cube tray filled with water in your freezer.
Within just a couple of hours they are frozen and expanded in the tray.
NOW 'carefully' take them out of the freezer and bring them into you house heated at 78 degree.
Did taking them out of the freezer into your warm house
PREVENT them from freezing?? NO!
And neither will the sun coming up the following day PREVENT your pipes from freezing overnight in 32 degree temps. :R
