If yours just has the code you will need to look the codes up or take the VIN number to a dealer that will print out the information.
Another way to tell is to jack one side up and see if that wheel spins. If it spins you do not have limited slip. If it doesn't spin then odds are you have limited slip.
I doubt whether your rig has limited slip.
Noise more then likely is bad spiders. Parts should only be about $250, plus axle seals, lube and labor.
You should check it out or have it checked before it fails on the road.
