Another tire thread! Need some new tires for 15" rims

It looks like it's time for new tires after 5.5 years. I noticed the tread separating while putting the cover on today, so they will need to be replaced before I hit the road again (nothing planned until Memorial Day). I've looked through what seems like hundreds of tire threads, but there doesn't seem to be a consensus other than putting a bigger tire/rim on so that you can get an E or G rated tire, and 'don't buy Chinese junk!' The problem is that nearly all trailer tires are manufactured in China, and I'm not springing for new rims.

I'm thinking that the original Goodyears lasted 5.5 years, so is there really a reason to go with anything else? Are there any decent LT options for a 15" rim? I need a rating of at least 10,000lbs total as the trailer is about 9,300 loaded up to go.
  • Often no PSI rating is given.
If the weight rating in pounds is similar to E rated tire then you are fine at 80 PSI.
