I have a 2011 Open Range Journeyer 337RLS. It is the 6th camper i have owned. I bought all 6 new. It has had more problems than the other 5 combined, and then some. I am planning on buying another camper in 2-3 years. With the experience that I have had, I would never consider purchasing another Open Range product.
Some of my problems have included:
-Replaced both heat pumps
-Numerous water leaks under the shower that flooded the underbelly.
-Awning almost fell off. Screws attaching awning fabric to the side of the camper were only screwed into the sidewall and no studs.
-Furnace air flow very weak.
-Air conditioner airflow in living room very weak.
-Glue on carpet from factory.
-Outside storage leaked around door.
-Bad leak around large rear window.
-3 of the "Open Range decals have fallen off.
-Clear coat on entire rear has disappeared.
-I sometimes get a sewer smell from the underside of the camper, I have not checked that one out yet.
-Delamination in the sidewall above the hot water heater.
-The entire sidewall opposite the campers door is "telegraphing" (this is what the factory called it). You can see the outline of the sidewall studs under the sidewall. This is due to the sidewall skin being too thin.
-Door does not close flush. Factory said it was the pneumatic door closers and replaced. Still does not close flush.
Like I said, I have had 6 new campers over the last 20 years. I am very aggressive on keeping the camper properly sealed and caulked. OPEN RANGE NEVER AGAIN!
