Forest River makes an entry level product so the overall quality will be about average as TT's go. The very basic aluminum siding tells about the quality; minimal.
These are broad-brush statements that are not accurate, especially the part about FR making entry level products. FR makes many product lines each of which have entry level offerings, and some lines are definitely not entry level. Besides, as the OP's research has indicated this is probably not a FR product.
As for the aluminum siding - even though they are not my preference, there are also some very good trailers that have this construction technique, and that are not poor quality.
I can't agree more with the rest of your post, especialy with the checking of the main appliances.
OP - On the points made by others - I too feel that this is too much for a trailer of this vintage. Once you know all the options you might be able to check NADA Guides as well as doing a good Google search to try and fix what the trailer is worth, before making an offer.
Pictures of trailers often present better than the trailers themselves, and it is often difficult to tell when the pictures were taken - especially true for the inside pictures. Nothing beats a thorough in-person inspection that is not hurried and that covers every inch of the trailer. Focus on leak points and condition of the caulking and roof.
