- jmtandemExplorer II30 foot now; may go bigger in future. Had chance to purchase 34 foot at the time I purchased my 30 foot. I have regretted that I did not go bigger at the time. You have to plan your fuel stops, restaurant stops, and how you plan to maneuver/park in a campground. But you also have to do all that for a 30 foot trailer as well. Same process; just slightly different size.
- K_CharlesExplorerWe went from 26 to 32 and may go bigger next time.
- Dick_BExplorerIf there is a compelling reason to go larger you can work around any problems. Yes there will be more problems in smaller gas stations and campgrounds but the time you spend enjoying the larger size should overcome any temporary problems.
- the_bear_IIExplorerWe went from a 23ft TT to a 38ft 5th wheel... only good stuff, no regrets.
I'm sure when you first began towing the 32ft you were nervous, same will happen with the 35ft but you will soon realize there's not that much difference.
If a campground can't accomodate our 38 footer, there are usually other campgrounds in the area that will.
Gas stations, I usually choose a station that has wide open lanes or truck stop type. 9 times out of 10, I fill up before hitching up and then we rarely drive more than a tank full (about 300 miles) in distance each day. One station in a small town our 5th wheel was hanging out into the road while I was filling up the truck. The station owner said it happens all of the time...no problem. The folks driving by even waved & smiled at me as they went around the 5th wheel. - donn0128Explorer IIMany years age we went from a 22 foot to a 30 foot. Biggest mistake we ever made. Our little trailer was much handier to move around camp grounds with, easier to back and park. But in your case 3 feet and already that long i see no issues. But then again i also dont know you or how you camp.
