They are great trucks and I'm sure you'll get plenty of enjoyable miles out of it! They have a few quirks (what vehicles don't?), but the 7.3 Powerstroke motor is rock-solid reliable and is so common that parts are still available everywhere, even 10 years after the last of the 7.3's rolled off the line. They are also simple enough to work on yourself and there's no worries about the fuel pump giving up and suiciding the entire fuel delivery system to the tune of a $7,500+ repair bill like all the newer diesels out there.
