Yes they increased the rating from 1200 to 1400 in about 2005 I think. I bought mine in 2002 and have the 1200 lb bars. I also replaced 2 of those bronze wear bushings where the spring bars go in. I have been taking the hitch off and painting it every 3rd year or so since the factory paint job is pretty crappy. Mine has been black for quite a while. I had a jack tube strip out on me last summer, I posted that adventure over on the towing forum.
Other than that no issues. I know member here carringb had an issue with his HA, towing a triple axle toy hauler with his E350 van. He managed to bust up the HA pretty good but don't recall exactly where it broke.
I am sure you will be happy with the warranty results from HA, they have always been more than fair with me. In fact they warrantied the busted jack tube in my other post.
