- Glacier_DExplorer III fulltime in my EC 1050 from the start of ski season (Nov/Dec) till the end of the season (May) with no power source except my generator. Since I work at the area I do have a locker to keep my skis and boots in, but I still carry a lot of gear in my camper though. I leave the mountain once a week to dump tanks, get water and propane. I have never gone stir crazy, but I do drink a lot of beer up there.
- 6pacExplorerWe have done it for the last year out of necessity. Our son has two children and we are helping with them during the school year. So we're living over in Jupiter at a state park and extending after two weeks or moving the camper until we find another site. So in answer to "can you live in a camper without going crazy" yes you can when necessary .

You have already provided reasons, to yourself, not to do it.
I've recently become seriously interested in the full time life style but it's gonna be a tough sell to DW as her home is a big deal to her. I do think some extended trips in our 1121 might help both of us decide. I love our camper, but have mostly used it while doing something else; water skiing, racing, and plain camping. Not sure I could full time in the 1121 as there's no where really comfortable to just chill.
My advice, don't do it.
Before you make a choice like this, take a multiple week/s excursion, with all types of weather and see how it works for you and your DW.

- El_Camino_ManExplorerIm actually debating this pretty heavy lol. My biggest problem will be electricity. I may break down and buy a good set of solar panels but can you run 110V appliances on batteries? If push came to shove, I could buy an inverter and plug it into my battery then plug the whole camper into it?

. . . We actually set up a fire pit and the kids would come out to visit with us many nights and sit around the fire instead of being inside watching tv!
Most Excellent! - Tenn_blue59ExplorerWife, I and 2 dogs lived more or less full time in our Palomino a couple years back for about a year. We had sold our old house and were between houses and "moved into" the kids back yard. We had access to the house if we needed it, but were happy in our own space. Then the new house needed some renovations when we got it, so was easier to stay in the camper while we took our time remodeling.
The kids (well, actually my house but they rent it from me...) live in a secluded big lot where there were no problems with the neighbors and zoning issues. We actually set up a fire pit and the kids would come out to visit with us many nights and sit around the fire instead of being inside watching tv! - EycomExplorer

... and secondly, rappelling from the bed to the floor 3 times a night to get to the bathroom is a PIA. You really need to be awake during that ordeal. And of course, you will be awake by the time you return to bed.:B
A urine bottle, like used in hospitals, can reduce nightly ordeals for guys who sleep solo. :Z
Just say'n.
ROFLOL... I don't want to relive any part of the four days spent in ICU. Believe I'll just endure the aggravation for now. Won't be too long before I find a bed and bath on the same level.:B - FreeLanceingExplorer IIThere was a blog underagedrvr's as I recall. It was an interesting report of a young couple fulltiming it for a year or so. I know I could do it. I have gone 6-8 weeks no problem. The only issue for me would be giving up all this stuff. No room for an 8ft slate pool table in a tc.
