Anyone know how to disable the Parking aid on a new Ford?

There are some old threads on the subject but no joy. It can be disabled, but only for one key cycle. If something with trailer brakes is plugged in, it is automatically disabled. This isn't just camp...

When I had my 2011 Ford I had the same problem and after DJ found this solution I tried it also and it works like a charm. When we traveled to Alaska the roads would vibrate it loose so I used zip ties on it to hold the unit in place.
