Hi All,We took our maiden voyage with our AF 1140 and I've read about air bags and stable loads so I was wondering if guys have put these in their GM rigs.I've see the load locks where spacers are installed on a lower overload spring assembly but I don't have this set up, I have a six pack of springs on the bottom and above I have two more leafs I think are overload springs.I'm thinking of getting the load stops where you add a block between the two sets of springs so the overloads engage sooner so it helps level the ride and the hope is to minimize the side to side as well as the front to back sway.Hope to hear from GM owners so thanks in advance for any replies.Bill

You will be better served by doing a search on STABLELOADS.

If you do not have the lower overload flat leaf spring, look at the upper StableLoads to engage those those upper springs sooner. If the suspension is still too soft at that point, search for Super Springs to supplement your OEM spring pack

I run both. The StableLoads pretension the OEM suspension enough to carry the TC on its own and the air bags level me out if I am loaded unevenly or towing. Either way the main and overload suspension is engaged and the air bags give me infinite height adjustment.

I am currently working with a torklift rep also, have not seen an application for this style I have so far but we'll see what he says.Not sure if this will work but I've tried to post pictures of the leaf springs and the camper is still on so they are a bit flexed.

Anyone use TorkLift A7200 Stable loads on their GMC 3500?

Just wondering where you see that noted on the Torklift website. Their application chart doesn't differentiate between SRW & DRW that I can see. The FAQ's do state that you can actually run both upper and lower Stableloads if desired, but no notation about SRW vs. DRW.

This is what I'm running on my 2013 3500 with the above axle double overloads and works well with our AF996.

They don't make stable loads for 3500srw with the upper overloads.

I have the stable loads shown above on my 2500 Silverado. They work very well. I have not added anything after I put them on and get just a small amount of squat.

They are mounted to the lower overload spring between the regular pack and the overload.

Here is a picture from the web, mine are black, but this is easier to see.

I have an AF 1150 and started off with air bags but felt I still had more sway than I liked. I then installed the Stableloads and was blown away by the difference. I now don't feel I have any need for airbags and regret I ever spent the money to have them installed. My recommendation to anyone will always be to start off with the Stableloads and decide from there, what suspension needs you may have. I will pretty well guarantee, you will be extremely satisfied with Stableloads over airbags.

StableLoads are great on GM trucks, maintain correct factory suspension geometry and bouncing side to side sway. I was amazed at how well they worked on my 2500.

You will not be sorry you installed the Torklift Stableloads. Best option I have ever install on my Chevy 3500 truck.

I am not a fan of air bags. Had them once and will never do that again

If I can make a suggestion, try the stableloads and then decide if you need anything else.
