- fla-gypsyExplorerStill no surprises. Ford beats the GM twins and Ram continues to gain on Chevrolet. Everything else is insignificant from a sales point.
- larry_barnhartExplorerI am still surprised that ford sells so many truck after so many very poor trucks were built with 2 diesel engines that were not very good but good for them.
chevman - 3oaksExplorerWell it does surprise me. I thought Ford sales would be down. I, and I know others, have put off purchasing 2014 F-l50s in favor of waiting for the 2015 or 16 F-150s. But then I guess still others are skeptical of the new design and are rushing to purchase 2014s so the numbers may be a wash. Plus the pick-up line includes Ford Super Duties as well.

The HD segment probably makes up a very small percentage of those figures which are heavily weighted to the 1/2 ton segment. - Cummins12V98Explorer III

Larry it's called "blinded by the BLUE OVAL"
My Aunts Brother has been buying a new Ford Diesel every 3 years or so since the 6.9 days and has had trouble with them all but still keeps buying them. - larry_barnhartExplorerI might be blinded with the good GM cars and trucks we have bought both new and used. Hard for me to want a change because I have had all brands. Who knows how the future will be but our 05 is in the chev garage getting new hoses installed for the winter's tow to Az. something done each summer both in my garage or at the chev dealer. Overkill is ok with me.
chevman - ib516Explorer IIThis was the most interesting part to me:
"In the full-size sector proper, however, where sales grew 11.7%, from 153,356 to 171,235, GM's share was level at 35%. Ram's share jumped from 20.5% to 21.4% while Ford claimed 37% of full-size buyers in this transition yeaer, down from 38.5% in April 2013." - MARK_VANDERBENTExplorerGM twins off of fords amount just over 3000. Looks like the pace is picking up for GM twins. Maybe the hd truck orders are picking up. Anyway, numbers on all look good.

would have to think that the diesel market, is't that big a slice, and most don't follow that market.
they likely don't worry about what diesels are doing.

But somehow people with the same experiences but not your brand are somehow blind or kool aid drinkers.
