I've seen a couple loaded 2013 F-450 pickups on eBay with payload stickers stating 5200lbs. The 350 will weigh something like 200lbs less but have the same GVWR. Removing the tailgate will get you close to 5500lbs of payload. I say go for the 1150 unless you plan to tow. I'd start with no mods to the truck, then try stable loads if necessary. Bags are the spendiest so try those last.
