Very interesting. I'm looking at the 2014 customer order sheet and don't see anything about the Fantastic Fan. Here's what I can find:

Standard Feature:
Fan Vent (Bedroom)

Available Option:
Additional Fan Vent - Bathroom (Exhaust only)
Additional Fan Vent - Kitchen (Cannot Have with AC)

If you are willing to drive close to the factory to pick one up, I recommend getting a price on one from Thunder RV. We ordered our 25Y sight unseen and traveled out to pick ours up saving a ton of money over ordering one shipped anywhere near the Midwest. It more than paid for our vacation to Oregon.

Airstream models that I've seen do not have the thermal package that Arctic Fox has nor do they have the 4 season capabilities that the Arctic Fox has.

No argument nor am I trying to derail your Arctic Fox trailer acquisition. However, you did say you wanted to keep the next trailer for a VERY long time and the statistics are on the side of Airstream for building something that lasts, has no filon sides, no rubber roof, etc.

That is not taking anything away from any Northwood Product if that is what you really want. You might check into what the Four Seasons
package is and into R factors for roof, walls, and floor for insulation. In my assessment the real advantage of the Northwood products are the frame. The axles and all appliances are off the shelf for any manufacturer. Filon is filon, rubber roof is rubber roof. However, very few trailer manufacturers make their own frame. And it is stout.

Since you have a Ram/Cummins you can easily pull more than a 22G trailer. You might look into the larger sizes as they are roomier, spacious with the slides (not all slides are letting cold air in as Arcitc Fox's have double or triple the slide rubber seals) and your concerns about slide issues on their trailers have been minimal.

Airstreams are driveway queens. Arctic Foxes are true camping trailers.

We looked at one and feel they are one of the most durable units on the road. Even if dealer turns into a jerk after buying, manufacture still stands behind them. We ended up buying a used 25W, just because of the room and less $$$ than new, nothing else. The 22g is a stronger unit IMO but size just didn't work for us.

(just trying to help) When your ordering I would ask for, no make request a "build up" sheet and "elec and plumbing drawing" before you order. Also when doing the PDI at the dealers lot, include pulling the hubs and look for way to much grease that the delivery guy blasted full when delivering to dealer, and now grease all over the brakes shoes.

Before we bought...for the last 2 years wife has asking every Arctic Fox owner we ran across how they liked their unit. Found out very few have any problems. That doesn't mean they don't have problems just the odds are with you.

Everything you said, plus I like the ladder and roof rack, thermal pane windows, thermal package (heated tanks), wide body, and solar package. We are thinking about the Onan generator option, but also realize that it will take up valuable storage space.

We do a fair amount of cold weather/winter camping, and while a slide-out is nice, we prefer not to hassle with the snow/ice problems that can buildup on the slide.

We haven't owned an Arctic Fox, but every slide that we've had (Keystone and Jayco)has allowed a certain degree of cool air to enter through the seals.

Lastly, we really want a trouble-free unit. I haven't personally experienced problems with awnings or slides, but we feel more comfortable knowing that we've eliminated some possibilities of problems.

I like the electric awning and have the adjustable pitch option (so the angle can be changed from straight out to angled down, as well as one side lower to direct water off).

We have 27T and really like the Arctic Fox trailers. You can get a "temp" access to the afnash forum and ask your questions and learn. They are a great group and very willing to help (just like this forum).
