Thank you all this is super helpful!!! We are currently looking at a couple of Dodge Ram trucks 3500 dually with or without air ride aka air stabilization system. Anyone have experience w air ride versus after market air bags re: stability, diving performance and maintenance, particularly in northern climates and also towing?
Also, all those who responded have 99s, any 992s out here????
So great to hear about winter performance. This would be so awesome as we live near some gorgeous mountain passes!!!!
Thanks again!
Temps... in a 990
Well, my personal best, heheh, is 14F and no problems.
but that's probably like Summer to you all up there so can't say "How Low, shall we Go..." Hit 16f a few weeks/month ago, no big deal but as noted, blowing through Propane. I have the 2 7-gal bottles and a back up 7-gal used for BBQ and a backup in worst case scenarios, I turn on the water heater to keep that warm and I've heard of opening all the cupboards to allow heat in, but haven't gotten that far yet...
So far, no big deal with Truck or Camper.. sigh, that I KNOW of at least... I also have Solar, which doesn't help if covered in snow, so carry a Honda and have the OEM Onan propane as a backup to the backup.. heheh,
Like the old saying " One is None, Two is One"...
Hope that helps...
