Larry,
It would be hard for me to give an unbiased opinion as I
own a newer Artic Fox Silver Edition 5ver.
Would I do it again ? (I guess really the most important question).
Yes.
Does it have good build quality ? (da bones)
Yes.
Did I do market research before purchase ? (shop around).
Yes
Is it the be all, do all, best in show ?
Probably not....but competitive.
What would I change if I got a do over ? (another really important
question).
Larger axles, higher rated wheels/tires, disc brakes, 2nd AC.
Biggest disappointment ?
Industry standard 1 year warranty.
Best feature ?
Really nice floor plan.
Wish I woulda' got ?
6 point leveling system.
What I miss off my Travel Trailer ?
Spare tire storage on rear of vehicle... getting down under to
retrieve spare when asphalt is 130 degree is bad juju...I have moved
mine to cargo storage.
What should you know ?
Northwood is continually changing features, tank sizes, available
options etc., within the same model year... so a 2014 is not always
a 2014...read their disclaimers... you get what you bought.
Does my rig have the usual minor issues which needed correction after
purchase ? Were they corrected ?
Yes. Yes.
Did I get rock bottom pricing when I purchased the unit ?
Who really knows? I was comfortable enough to sign on the
signature block (all that really matters).
Would I re-consider "upgrade" to the Silver Fox Edition ?
hmmm... tough one. Probably yes , get the Silver Fox Edition.
We don't "extreme' camp so probably just paid for marketing claims,
but may help a bit on re-sale value.
In a "perfect world" considerations ? (again another do-over situation)...
I would like to have visited the plant, sat down and
talked with the reps, go over the most current "options"
list, and ordered it from that point. I bought mine local
off a lot.
So to answer your initial question.... Quality ...yes. As good as
any that fall in the high end of mid-grade. Or the lower end of high-grade.
Good luck ,
Charles
