Are "all-bed" campers length safe? Most compatible all bed?

In terms of the Lance 850 and other "all bed" models like the Adventurer 89RB, how much do you trust having a 8'9" camper go into a 6 foot short bed? Does anyone have a limit? I've seen people say 8 f...

Personally I'm pursuing a Hallmark flatbed pop-up which is fiberglass. 4 wheel camper makes a good one too out of aluminum. I'm planning on a 1 ton truck as well and towing a boat in the summers. The Bigfoots are nice but even a 1500 is up against the payload of a 1 ton srw.
