I had a November '09 build 2010 F350 King Ranch with a 6.4, bought new and used for mixed driving and towing an 8000lb trailer.
It was the biggest POS I have ever owned.
$20,000 of warranty work over 18 months and 24,000 miles, with it basically parked the last 2 months I had it until Ford and I called a truce and they bought it back and put me in an '11 6.7 F250 Lariat my dealer had in stock. That truck has been everything the 6.4 wasn't. The 6.4 had an undiagnosed loss of drive problem, it melted pistons due to leaky injectors and overboosting during regens, which were constant. The repairs included a transmission rebuild, a new short block, a new big turbo, several injectors, and a few other things.
We really like the 6.7 truck, but when its time to replace that, I'm going back to gas.
