The LED lights are directional to some degree. You may have to use what they call diffusion lens that spreads out the light.
My LEDs were alot brighter than the incandescent bulbs and better yet was cool to operate. My older housing and even the ceiling around the old automotive lamps where showing burn signs everwhere... This could have been a fire hazard...
Pop the lens and grab one of those lit up incandescent bulbs - will make a believer out of you real quick...
Of course the downside of this is some folks use the incandescent bulbs to heat up their living space. That all goes away when you convert over to LED lights...
