I can tell from street experience loaded and unloaded that ever time a LAM owner tried to out run me, my Ford spanked them really bad. Everyone I've talked to who have driven both trucks including myself will say the Ford feels stronger than the ram.
The only one LAM is you and Ford. Spin this Troy " On the flipside, most of Dearborn’s pickups are compliant with this rating, though not all. Levine said, “Since 2013 all new Ford vehicles are rated according to J2807.” This includes the 2015 F-150 as well as its monstrous F-450. However, the blue oval’s F-250 and F-350 trucks are not currently compliant, something that will be rectified in the near future." LMAO every Ram truck is compliant and I believe all of the GM trucks are now also.

He tends to omit certain things.
Interesting comment on the 68RFE dead pedal. NEVER had it with my 11 HO Dually or with current 15 with Aisin trans.
Only dead pedal comments have all been associated with the Aisin I have heard of.
The cummins is not a high Erving engine and does NOT seem fast.
Ask MeAgain if he thought we were doing 93 at the end of the freeway on ramp. I sure did not think so until I looked at the speedo. The Cummins is a sleeper it just hooks and pulls. - Perrysburg_DodgExplorer

Who cares what the advertised HP is. I'd like to see them tested at their full GCWR up the grades. Lets see if they live up to the hype.
Correct,at least the grades are the same IdaD wrote:
The 2015 ford definitely feels faster than the Cummons. That was my impression anyway. I don't know that it necessarily felt "stronger" though. They actually feel pretty different. The Ford almost behaves like a gas motor as it revs up a lot quicker and higher while the Cummins is louder and spools up more deliberately. They were both plenty strong and fast to me so that was a non factor in my decision. Other factors swayed my decision.
I agree they definitely feel different and I would add a big part of that comes from 68 tranny hunting for gears and the dead pedal was absolutely horrendous to the point it almost felt dangerous when pulling out into traffic.
I haven't driven the '15 Fords but the reports I've read say they have a bit more turbo lag than the '11-'14 but the power feels stronger.- IdaDExplorerThe 2015 ford definitely feels faster than the Cummons. I can tell from personal experience on a Las Vegas Dyno the RAM puts a larger percentage of advertised HP to the ground than the Ford does. I would guess the GM would be more also. Ford had a typical 20% loss to the rear wheels compared to the Cummins at 13%. 11 HO Cummins VS 12 PS Diesel.

I have no idea how accurate the numbers are, but all three of the big diesels have plenty of power. I wish they'd start trying to one up each other on fuel economy now and stop chasing more power.
X2
Although it doesn't really effect me as I won't be looking for a new truck for the next 10 to 15 years and I will be 80 to 85 years old at that time.
Well, if you really believe that, you should look at the new 5.0 cummins in the Titan.
Although I doubt people really feel that way.
Case in point, the person who says x2, yet puts the hp and tq numbers of his engine in his signature.
People want power. I'm no different. - ShinerBockExplorer

and stop that GCWR on a steep (7% or whatever is the max spec) and get it going again...SEVERAL times...
Actually that is what the J2807 tests does in the braking portion. Although I don't know why I am saying this to you since you have me on block and you will never read it. - spoon059Explorer II

The numbers are bogus. My 14 is a sad sack computer controlled never gonna make rated HP contraption. Press the pedal and it works like an HVAC chiller. It will load up and start to make power but do it on its own preset parameters. Parameters which have NOTHING to do with real world driving. A good example is my truck does quite well hauling the 14.5K loaded toyhauler but with a 4-5K cargo trailer in Montana hills it IS A PATHETIC POS THAT CAN NOT FIND THE RIGHT GEAR OR PRODUCE THE EXPECTED POWER to drive normally. Choice is a slug or drive it floored and back off and then back on.
Bottom line is the advertised HP and TQ is something that it could potentially make under some rare circumstances. Very rare. Maybe unique.
Huh?
