We went to Elk Lake near Detroit this last weekend. It is a state maintained campground, and CLEARLY marked NO CAMP FIRES. We did not camp there but took the kids to the lake for a lunch. We pull up and saw two campers with fires. xxxed me off, if they haven't noticed our state burning and people dying fighting those fires. I'm teaching my kids right, there were disappointed we couldn't have a fire but understood.
They kept asking why those people had fires, had to explain some people are stupid and don't follow rules.
Hours later the Ranger was on his way up followed by the Sheriff's Deputy. :)
