Inconsiderate Drivers

That is one reason why I never travel without my Go Pro camera recording everything that happens in front of my coach in HD.

It ain't just YOU in your MH getting cut off

It's a CA. thing. Never happens in Fl. :S

I have an opposing opinion.

Those that are being passed often unconsciously speed up. We've all seen this unconscious practice.

I just set my cruise control a little slower when it seems they all need more room.

I was stopped at a light getting ready to make a right turn. Naturally, I'm leaving some space on my right in order to make it wide. As I'm getting ready to go a pickup truck squeezed in there and was making a right turn next to me! I ended up catching up to him in city traffic; I gave him the what-are-you-thinking look.

I saw a biker try that move with a semi in California. The biker never made that mistake again. The trucker never saw him and dragged the trailer wheels over top of him. The trucker had his directional on and had only left about a half car width in the right lane, but the biker still tried to squeeze through. Not something I would want to see again.

I think that most drivers simply have no idea how a MH or truck handles and/or how much room it needs to turn or stop. And I don't think they care. I think most have the attitude that they will refuse to get stuck behind a MH and will do whatever to pass and cut in front of you even if it means going absolutely nowhere. And I think many absolutely resent trucks and MH's on the road. How dare we? When they are really inconsiderate and cut me off at a stop I creep up on them and lay on the horn for a good 10-20 seconds until traffic starts moving. Amazing how they behave like they can't hear it or have no idea why you are upset. The thing that drives me the most bananas is coming up on a slower moving vehicle and you try to pass and they speed up. So you give up passing, tuck back in behind and they slow down again. I am not sure if this is on purpose or what but it happens A LOT. These are just some of the reasons I drive my MH in an overly cautious manner.

I've seen drivers of motor homes drive like they don't know how they handle.
