I don't know boon docking etiquette but most campgrounds allow daytime use.
They normally do not allow generators to run during quiet time. This is usually 10 pm to 7 AM.
This generator was running at 4 PM? I miss the "offense." It was in the middle of the AFTERNOON. Now if it was running at 1 AM, I certainly could understand. But 4 PM ? I just don't get it.
Dog poop was inexcusable, day or night.
To me camping etiquette is you run the generator as little as possible even during the ''noisy'' hours. And if you are one to run a generator a lot spend the money on a quiet one, don't get a noisy cheap one. There is a huge difference between a idling Honda 2000 and the cheap Coleman or harbor Freight ones.
Runny a noisy generator hours and hours to watch TV or to just keep the batteries topped off, specially if you are not around is just poor etiquette.
