Are Your Decals Ugly?

I go back and forth on my camper decals. The current trends in radical logos and decals seem to have migrated from the big toy haulers down to us TC'ers. I'm not sure I like my Wolf Creek looking like it is shredded by a large dire wolf or that it is somehow cool looking with those slash markings. It would be easy for me to remove them as it is still pretty new and they are not hard and dried-out. There would not be any color difference yet from sun bleaching.

Any thoughts on your own unit? What do you like and what do you not like in camper decor?
  • I like my decals especially the pair of flying geese on each side.
  • I kinda like the graphics on my Arctic Fox although I did remove the decal with the Northwood Manufacturing web site. Didn't like that.
  • I don't mind them but they won't last and that sucks. However, I'll wait till they start to fail and then I'll have some vinyl wrap done. I personally can't stand the plain white look of RV's without something to break up the flat surfaces. I'm not a flashy person but a splash of color and something to stand out gives it some eye appeal. Re-sell is a consideration. I know the traffics fail (did after 5 years in my toyhauler) but other might think damage and repairs as well. I personally don't care as I plan to keep my TC for 6-8 more years or possibly longer, so it won't be worth much anyway.

I'm on track for 60 days a year so far, doing pretty good considering full time work and kids.
  • I wish they were sprayed on. I don't know how they could be more expensive if painted, but they would likely hold up better.
  • If you don't like them, peel them, so long as you don't think it will adversely impact resale value. Some decals really add a great look, at least until they begin to deteriorate.

I hate to see a meticulously maintained RV with peeling, faded decals. The guy did his part, the rig held up like it was supposed to, but inferior quality decals bring the whole look down. Good luck with your decision.

Yeah, big Monster or Red bull logo!

I don't mind the decals, but my issue is they don't last and look like c rap after a while.
One upside to the splash of mud graphics on my 03 is as they peel I can just shave off the bad parts and the decal still looks the same!
If you store it outside you may have 5 years before they look like poo. Indoors, maybe 10.
If I had a new camper I'd probably strip it of stickers.
If you need color, then think vinyl wrap.
Now if they'd start making color matched campers opt at least multiple colors like the other RVs.

  • I removed most of the branding, there's a pair if green horizontal lines that go around the entire TT which I left to break up the huge expanse of white. I left the 'Econ' logo on the front, makes it easy to find ourselves
  • I actually like mine, which happen to be the same as yours. I think they kind of match my truck.
