Since 2010 RAM has really stepped it up all around every year getting better.

I have had zero problems in 50k with my 68RFE with combined load of 28k and 3:42's.

I will get the Aisin in my next RAM.

It is definitely the CP3 and it is one of the factors that I used in making the decision on what truck to buy.

I owned 3 Fords over the last 20 years and just bought the Ram last month and couldn't be happier. You will not be sorry going with one.

The 68RFE is a fine transmission. The Aisin is more heavy duty yes but nothing wrong with the 68RFE. I would say go with the Aisin if the time spent behind the wheel towing something is more that not towing.

I'm not so sure the CP4 is totally deserving of the title POS, but yes, it seems more fragile or "less tolerant". I'm sure some guys will be in talking about how Ford won't warranty....etc, and GM will warranty. My thoughts, until it's all sorted, I'd rather be driving than stranded in either make. Then again, the chances you will have issues are slim anyways. Of course this is all moot if your CP4 has already bit the dust. LOL
