I have never heard of a clean out on the side of your house or outside your house, and my son is a plumber, LOL
I am going out on a limb and think that we in Canada mainly have a basement and there is a clean out in the basement for the sewer. Those of you that have no basement must have a clean out outside. Is this right? I would bet if we had access to the clean out outside there would be a bylaw saying we can't use it in such a way. We can't run our sump pump out through the laundry tub pipe.
I have no idea if I'm allowed to pump my **** into the cleanout, I didn't ask... In my case, there is a cleanout on the side of the house right under where the kitchen sink is. And that cleanout is on the same side of the house as the RV so it's convenient. The only catch is it's 2' above ground level, that's why I have the sewer solution. A macerator would work too, I just liked the idea of no moving parts.
As to the water usage, yes the Sewer Solution does use water. But probably not as much as you may think. It's shooting a very fine high pressure jet of water through a very small hole, and it only takes a few minutes to dump. I've never actually measured how much water it uses, maybe I'll figure out some way to do that. Any good idea's of how I could measure the amount of water used to dump vs. the gallons of waste dumped?
Anyway, I bet the amount of water used by the Sewer Solution is less than the amount of water I use in backflushing and cleaning the tanks through the built in sprayer thingy. :)
