at one time I saw a film like this film, but it was about war production trucks made by all brands.. something about hells highway or some such, moving war supplies to the troops from the beach heads.
I wonder why dodge ever dropped that name (power wagon) from their 4x4 truck series, sounded pretty good to me.

Many of those things survived the war. I know where there are several. A couple are for sale.
They were popular with the forest service, and other similar government agencies. Many went Ito their post war service still in brand new condition.
Chevy/GMC, Studebaker, and REO had the CCKW.
Ford had the GPW. (Same as Willys MB). Ford, and Willys together built some 400,000 "Jeeps".
