We're at Willow Tree now and have been here since Tuesday. For the record, the hot tubs are still on the waterfront sites, the buddy sites still exist (there are not many) and it's 10.5 miles, as the crow flies, straight inland from North Myrtle Beach, which seems to be the closest major beach town.
It is very quiet here, well away from the bustle of the beach strips, which suits us fine. Management is great and the sites are HUGE!

Seasonal and long-term stays increased rapidly over the last 3 years. In order to accommodate the growth, buddy sites were closed and signature sites provided additional lakefront sites. As with any business, growth brings change, opportunities and challenges. Rest assured, WillowTree remains committed to enhancing each seasonal experience. A few of the obvious efforts can be seen in the fitness and game rooms, coffee area, banquet hall with DJ events, dance lessons, our traditional end of season pig picking, and the installation of 10 new wi-fi access points. In short, we offer a good selection of amenities at no additional cost.
One of our goals for the 2014-2015 season is to minimize rate increases by maximizing reservation commitments and payment obligations.
Ø 2014 – 2015 seasonal package begins October 15th, 2014 and ends April 30th, 2015.
Ø A minimum stay of 90 consecutive nights within the package dates is required.
Ø A security deposit in the amount of $500.00 is required to reserve the site.
Ø The entire balance is due on the arrival date.
Ø Electricity is metered monthly and due and payable on the 1st of each month.
o Card authorization will suffice for electric security; otherwise a $100.00 electric security deposit payment is required.
Rates: 90- Night rate examples: If you arrive on the first day of November for the minimum night stay your 90 nights will cost $1,687.50 on a lakefront site and $1,395.00 for a pull through site.
Courtesy Date Adjustment Policy
If you wish to adjust your reservation dates by 15 nights or more without incurring a fee, than you must do so before the office closes on August 1st, 2014.
If you wish to adjust your reservation dates by 14 nights or less without incurring a fee, than you must do so before the office closes on October 1st, 2014.
Cancellation Policy: All cancelled nights are subject to loss of security deposit including reservation date adjustments after the courtesy deadline.
If your situation warrants a cancellation and you wish to receive one-half ($250.00) of the security deposit, you must speak directly with a front desk staff member or management, prior to closing on the cancellation deadline date. Cancellation deadline dates are based on the scheduled arrival month as presented below.
