Baffling radio interference

Thanks for all the replies. I get the impression that the two most likely causes of this kind of interference are a)improper grounding of equipment and b)bad ignition wires. I will begin checking things out tomorrow.
BTW, I got a couple of chuckles out of these comments. I have never owned an 8-track player, but I do tend to listen primarily to FM stations in my pickup. Just looking to expand my horizons!:B
