Battery Lock
My version of the home-built battery lock (pre-paint). I used 1-1/2" aluminum flat under the boxes and 1" flat on top.

Nice job. I like the 4 battery option too.
I'd upgrade the lock if you have a sturdier one lying around somewhere. That one will give up with a sharp blow from a hammer or rock or similar.
