That's what is called "anecdotal evidence" which can't be proved or disproved.
Sure if you neglect your batteries and let them go dead or nearly so and the temp then goes down to below zero you probaby will have a problem.
That does not change the fact that a fully charged battery won't freeze until about -70F. That is not a "feeling I have", it is a scientific fact.
